On May 13, I attended the 356th Business Seminar hosted by the CNAIC. The event took place at the Taipei International Convention Center and featured Jefferey Chiu, CEO of Ansforce Technology and a prominent figure in Taiwan’s tech and knowledge communication community. He is widely known for his educational YouTube channel, Dr. Chu’s Tech Classroom, where he explains cutting-edge technologies with clarity and depth.

The seminar, titled “Global Tech Trends and the New Taiwan–U.S. Tech Landscape”, offered an exceptional overview of how AI, semiconductors, and cross-border innovation are shaping the next decade.

According to TSMC projections cited by Jefferey Chiu, the global semiconductor market will reach $1 trillion by 2030. The biggest driver? High-performance computing (HPC) and AI, expected to account for 45% of total revenue.

Key AI applications fueling growth include:

  • AI PCs and smartphones
  • Augmented reality (AR) devices
  • Robo taxis
  • Humanoid robots
  • AI data center accelerators

This signals not only Taiwan’s continued role in global chip supply chains, but also leadership opportunities in advanced packaging, AI server infrastructure, and domain-specific silicon.

Jefferey Chiu shared a compelling vision: In the near future, every company will have its own AI brain. Employees will also have personal AI assistants—much like today’s smartphones, but far more intelligent.

For instance, TSMC has rolled out its internal AI system, tGenie, which now serves over 60,000 employees. This internal ChatGPT-like platform assists with:

  • Document generation and email writing
  • Code completion and translation
  • Workflow automation

This illustrates how AI will move beyond automation into core knowledge processes.

This trend reflects the localization of generative AI for enterprise use, prioritizing control, efficiency, and security.

One of the most insightful segments was Chiu’s explanation that AI is not about mimicking the brain, but about analyzing large volumes of data to find patterns, build models, and make predictions.

  4. Inference and prediction

曲博以生動方式提出:未來每間企業都將擁有「超級大腦」,員工也將擁有自己的數位 AI 助理,就像今天每人都有一支智慧手機。

他以台積電內部 AI 系統「tGenie」為例,這個等同 ChatGPT 的企業版工具,已部署給 6 萬多位員工日常使用,能協助:

  • 撰寫公文、報告、郵件
  • 翻譯與知識搜尋
  • 程式自動生成與除錯

不只是辦公效率工具,AI 將成為企業營運的新骨幹。

講座中介紹萬達人工智慧的 WonderSuite 系統,為企業提供私有雲部署的AI聊天助理與應用平台,其架構基於 SmartGPT,但縮小至60–120億參數,使得:

  • 每台伺服器可支援百台終端裝置
  • 能在私有雲或內網中運作,提升資料保密性
  • 特別適用於金融、製造、教育等重視資料安全的產業

這點提醒我們:生成式AI不只是OpenAI的專利,國產AI模型與產業導向落地方案將是新一輪投資與創業熱點。

在簡報中,曲博強調:「AI 不是模擬人腦,而是從資料中找規律。」他將 AI 與人類學習行為對比,指出兩者皆需:

  • 找出隱藏規則並建立模型(Model)
  • 根據新數據進行推論與預測(Inference & Prediction)

此外,他也詳細說明機器學習(ML)的多種別名與相關領域,例如資料探勘(Data Mining)、預測分析(Predictive Analytics)、自我組織系統(Self-organizing systems)等,讓非工程背景的與會者也能理解AI背後的知識體系。
