Taiwan–U.S. City Business Matchmaking Forum: From Finance to Innovation, A New Stage for Software Companies
Last Wednesday, I attended the 2025 Taiwan–U.S. City Industrial Business Matchmaking Forum, held at the Regent Taipei. Organized by the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT) together with delegations from 19 U.S. states, the event went far beyond keynote speeches—it also featured a joint exhibition area where each state showcased local products, investment policies, and industry highlights.
At the booths, state representatives actively introduced their specialties and business opportunities, while visitors exchanged business cards, explored cooperation prospects, and discussed investment possibilities. From food and energy to aerospace and technology, the atmosphere was vibrant and highly interactive, reflecting a strong eagerness from both sides to deepen Taiwan–U.S. cooperation.
For Pershing Technology Services (PTSC), the most valuable insights came from conversations related to IT, software, and capital markets—areas closely aligned with our long-term growth strategy.

East Coast Focus: Finance and Startup Hubs
During breakout sessions, I had in-depth exchanges with representatives from New York State and New Jersey.
- New York is the world’s financial hub, home to Wall Street and Nasdaq. It has also become a hotspot for FinTech, AI-driven risk management, and data analytics. For Taiwanese startups preparing to enter global capital markets, New York is an inevitable destination.
- New Jersey offers proximity to New York with lower operating costs while sharing access to financial and tech resources. It is also a hub for biotech and healthcare IT, making it an attractive soft-landing option for Taiwanese startups aiming to penetrate the East Coast.
For PTSC, these conversations were especially meaningful. Having just completed our listing on Taiwan’s Emerging Stock Board and preparing for the main board, building stronger links with global capital markets is a key part of our strategic roadmap.

Pacific Northwest: Cloud and Software Ecosystem
I also focused on Washington State (Seattle).
- Seattle is the birthplace of Microsoft, Amazon, and Tableau, making it one of the world’s most influential hubs for cloud, AI, and enterprise software.
- The region also supports a mature startup ecosystem spanning SaaS, cybersecurity, and data platforms.
As an Azure partner and a company specializing in AI-powered knowledge management solutions, PTSC sees strong potential alignment with Seattle’s ecosystem. This is not just market observation—it could be the basis for real collaboration.

Southwest and South: Hardware Clusters Driving Software Demand
Although PTSC is not a manufacturer, we closely follow developments in Texas and Arizona.
- Texas has attracted major Taiwanese electronics companies—Delta, ASE, Wistron, Foxconn, Inventec, Wiwynn—while also investing in aerospace, energy, and large-scale data centers and AI parks. These projects will inevitably generate strong demand for IT and software solutions.
- Arizona has emerged as a global semiconductor hub, with TSMC and its supply chain making massive investments. The state is also the second-largest data center cluster in the U.S. For software companies, this translates into opportunities in SaaS, AI, cybersecurity, and cloud management.
When hardware giants establish operations, the demand for digital infrastructure and software services naturally follows.

Conclusion: New Opportunities in Software and Capital Markets
The Taiwan–U.S. City Business Matchmaking Forum was not just a traditional investment promotion event. It was a cross-industry, cross-city, and cross-market platform for collaboration.
Historically, Taiwan–U.S. cooperation has centered on semiconductors and manufacturing. But through exchanges with New York, New Jersey, Washington, Texas, and Arizona, it has become clear that:
- Software and IT innovation play an equally important role in this evolving partnership.
- Capital market connectivity will be a crucial pathway for Taiwan’s startups to globalize.
For PTSC, this event was more than participation—it was an exercise in strategic thinking, bridging software innovation with international capital markets.

City Industrial Business Matchmaking Forum(台美城市產業商機媒合會)。

Taiwan–U.S. Capital Market Focus:

Taiwan–U.S. Software Ecosystem:

Taiwan–U.S. Industry Linkage:
